Growing up playing sports was always important to me. It was a way to be myself on the field and off the field as a soccer player. Playing sports allowed me to build character and challenged me in every aspect.
One day I can recall our team volunteered for the Special Olympics event in the county. During my volunteering I met so many other children close to my age and saw how much they also enjoyed playing soccer as much as I did. This brought joy to me. I continued to volunteer with children of special needs until I went to college.
Know I am glad that, I can do something for these talented children that go out and just play for the enjoy of the sport. Please support this great organization that is doing so much for these children.
